Josette Micheler

Mezzosopraan

A native of Munich, Germany, Josette Micheler began her vocal
training with Tanja Elbert at the Bavarian Singing Academy under
the direction of Kurt Suttner. She received her opera and concert
diploma from the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich
and the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding. Micheler studied
there with Frieder Lang, Helmut Deutsch, and Christoph Hammer, and
has taken part in masterclasses with Krisztina Laki, Thomas
Hampson, Giacomo Zarelli, Alberto Zedda, Brigitte Fassbänder, and
Ingeborg Danz.
Josette Micheler has performed in numerous opera productions,
among others in the role of Cherubino in Mozart's "The Marriage of
Figaro,”. Beyond the opera stage she is also dedicated to art song
and oratorio.
Since 2010, Micheler has been a permanent member of the Berlin
Radio Choir, where she often takes on solo parts, among others,
with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin and the Deutsches
Symphonieorchester Berlin.
