Josette Micheler
Mezzosopraan

A native of Munich, Germany, Josette Micheler began her vocal training with Tanja Elbert at the Bavarian Singing Academy under the direction of Kurt Suttner. She received her opera and concert diploma from the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding. Micheler studied there with Frieder Lang, Helmut Deutsch, and Christoph Hammer, and has taken part in masterclasses with Krisztina Laki, Thomas Hampson, Giacomo Zarelli, Alberto Zedda, Brigitte Fassbänder, and Ingeborg Danz. Josette Micheler has performed in numerous opera productions, among others in the role of Cherubino in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro,”. Beyond the opera stage she is also dedicated to art song and oratorio. Since 2010, Micheler has been a permanent member of the Berlin Radio Choir, where she often takes on solo parts, among others, with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin and the Deutsches Symphonieorchester Berlin.
