Patricio Arroyo Lesuisse
Tenor

Chilean Tenor, Patricio Arroyo-Lesuisse began his artistic training in his hometown of Concepcion, Chile. His extensive repertoire spans from the Baroque to the contemporary and has led to engagements across Europe, Asia, and South America. He has recently appeared as a Guest soloist at the Hannover Staatsoper and Innsbruck Staatsoper. From 2010-2019 he was a soloist in the Ensemble of Theater Aachen. Previously he was an ensemble member at Theater Lübeck.

On the operatic stage he is well known for his performances in the operas of Monteverdi, Handel, Charpentier and Gluck. His roles include Tempo/Il trionfo del Tempo e del disinganno, Lurcanio/Ariodante, Oronte/Alcina, Cleante/Le malade imaginaire and the title role in Orphéeet Eurydice. He is particularly well known for his interpretations of the leading Mozart tenor roles including Ferrando/Così fan tutte, Tamino/Die Zauberflöte, Belmonte/Die Entführung aus dem Serail, and Don Ottavio/Don Giovanni. Other roles include Kudrjáš/Katja Kabanova, L' aumônier/Dialogues des Carmelites, Fritz/La grande duchesse de Gerolstein and Almaviva/Il barbiere di Siviglia.

Equally at home in contemporary opera and musical theater, Arroyo-Lesuisse has sung Antonio/The Tempest and Electrician/Powder Her Face by Adès, as well Pirelli/Sweeney Todd and an extended run of sold out performances as Tony/West Side Story.

An in-demand concert soloist, Arroyo-Lesuisse has performed numerous Bach Cantatas, Passions and the Christmas Oratorio. He was the tenor soloist for Mozart’s Requiem and c-minor Mass, Mendelssohn’s Elias, Paulus, and Lobgesang, Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Dvorak’s Requiem and Saint-Saen’ Oratorio de Noel.

For the past decade he has devoted himself to the field of vocal pedagogy. Arroyo-Lesuisse is currently singing teacher at the FRANZ LISZT University of Music in Weimar and at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz (HfMT) Cologne. He holds degrees from Musikhochschule Lübeck and Metropolitan University of Sciences of Education.
