Violin
Enzo Kok (2002) born and raised in Kerkrade, the Netherlands, received his first violin lesson at the age of 6 at the local music school from Ingrid Holleman. In 2016 he got accepted at the Sweelinck Academy, the school for Dutch top talent at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. He continued his lessons there with Wiesje Miedema and Eliot Lawson.
In 2017 he received the ‘Labberté-Hoedemakers Award’ during the Peter de Grote Festival in Groningen (NL). In 2018 he was one of the three finalists of the Dutch Violin Competition ‘Davina van Wely’. In 2019 he received the 1st prize during the national finals of the Prinses Christina Concours. In 2019 he started his bachelor violin study at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Ilya Grubert and Eliot Lawson.
Enzo performs several times a month in the Netherlands, where he performed several times in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and abroad. He gave concerts in Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland and Portugal. Enzo performed with several renowned musicians as: Daniel Rowland, Lisa Jacobs, Iris Hond and members of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. He received masterclasses from famous violinists as: Vera Beths, Simone Lamsma, Peter Brunt, Lisa Jacobs, Daniel Rowland, Philippe Graffin, Isabelle van Keulen, Tim Kliphuis, and others.
Enzo plays a violin built in 1707 by Carlo Antonio Testore, generously on loan to him by the Conservatory of Amsterdam.
