Claude Frochaux
Cellist
Born in Turin, Claude Frochaux is a sought-after cellist with a deep passion for chamber music. He has performed at renowned festivals and concert venues and has collaborated with composers such as Olli Mustonen, Pēteris Vasks, Thomas Adès, Krzysztof Penderecki and Arvo Pärt.
As founder of the Monte Piano Trio, he has received several international awards and has been featured on radio stations throughout Europe. He is a member of the O/Modernt Chamber Orchestra and regularly appears as a guest musician with ensembles including the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and Ensemble Resonanz.
Claude teaches chamber music at the University of Augsburg and has been the artistic director of the international Kammermusikfest Sylt in Germany since 2012. He also founded MUSICA+ in Frankfurt am Main, an initiative dedicated to introducing a wide audience to classical music through concerts, workshops and educational projects.
He performs on a cello by G.F. Celoniato, built in Turin in 1720.
