Named one of Classic FM’s Rising Stars 2026, British violinist and composer Sharon is recognised for her versatility and wide-ranging repertoire, spanning classical and contemporary music. Through both performance and composition, she seeks to express her belief in music’s essential role in the human spirit.
She has performed throughout the UK, Europe and China as both a soloist and chamber musician, making her concerto debut at the age of fourteen with Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto. She has collaborated with renowned artists including Christian Altenburger, Adrian Brendel, Ana Chumachenco and Boris Kuschnir.
A prizewinner at numerous national and international competitions, Sharon was a laureate of the Eastbourne Young Soloist Competition and received the Silver Award at the Internationales Musikfest in Vienna, where she made her debut at the Musikverein. During her studies at the Royal College of Music, she received distinction prizes in both violin and contemporary music, as well as the Royal Philharmonic Society Julius Isserlis Scholarship.
Alongside her performing career, Sharon is also an active composer. She has written her own cadenzas for the violin concertos of Beethoven, Brahms and Mozart, and recently premiered her first work for violin and piano, Prima o poi, in Italy. She is currently collaborating with composer Patrick Case on a new violin concerto.
Sharon is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna with Eszter Haffner, while also working with Daniel Rowland through the Davidsbündler Academy.
